NEW YORK, Feb. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company announced today that Vincent Cohan, David Kahal and Suzanne van Staveren each have been elected to the position of senior vice president. The appointments were confirmed during a Board of Directors meeting held yesterday afternoon. Vincent Cohan has been appointed senior vice president and chief technology officer for AXA Technology Services, reporting to Etienne Aubourg, president and chief executive officer of Paris-based AXA Technology Services. Mr. Cohan joined the company last December and he is responsible for defining and implementing the AXA Technology Services strategy and developing the organization's information systems. Before joining AXA, Mr. Cohan spent 11 years with The Thomson Corporation, where he was most recently responsible for IT Operations in the Americas, India and Thailand. David Kahal has been promoted to senior vice president of AXA Equitable and national sales manager of AXA Distributors, LLC, the company's proprietary life insurance and annuity wholesale distribution organization. Mr. Kahal reports to Marian Sole, senior vice president of AXA Equitable, and he is responsible for leading the wholesale distribution, sales and business development of proprietary life insurance products to the company's retail network of approximately 6,000 financial professionals nationwide. Mr. Kahal rejoined AXA in 2007, after previously serving from 1998 to 2003 as a national sales manager for AXA Distributors. Suzanne van Staveren has been promoted to senior vice president of Corporate Markets, which provides retirement plan strategies and solutions to Fortune 1000 companies and their employees.
