                     The Wigmore Group plc ("the Company")

                              Holdings in Company

The Company was informed yesterday that following the sale of 5,010,000 ordinary
shares of 1p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") to certain of its private
customers, acting as Principal, on 21 and 22 January 2003, as at the close of
business on 22 January 2003, City Equities Limited held 565,000 Ordinary Shares,
representing approximately 0.67 per cent. of the issued share capital of the
Company.

As a result of the sale of these shares, City Equities Limited no longer holds a
notifiable interest in the Company's Ordinary Shares.
