Court Approves Capital Reduction

Rurelec PLC (AIM: RUR), the AIM listed owner, operator and developer of power generation capacity internationally, announces that following a hearing held on 17 December 2014, the Companies Court of the Chancery Division of the High Courts of Justice approved the reduction of capital of the Company (the "Capital Reduction"), details of which were contained in the circular to shareholders dated 10 November 2014 (the "Circular").

The Capital Reduction is expected to become effective on 19 December 2014.
