                      NELSON RESOURCES LIMITED ANNOUNCES                       
                         RESIGNATION OF TWO DIRECTORS                          

Nelson Resources Limited ("Nelson") of Bermuda (TSX/AIM: NLG), announces today
that Mr. Askar Alshinbaev and Mr. Paul Maxwell confirmed to the Board of
Directors of the Company on November 1, 2005, their resignation from the Board
of Directors, effective October 17, 2005. Both are affiliated with Central
Asian Industrial Holdings N.V., which sold its shareholding in the Company on
October 14, 2005.

Mr. Maxwell joined the Board recently, in June 2005. Mr. Alshinbaev has been a
Director of the Company since October 2000, and in this capacity played an
important part in Nelson's growth and development as an independent oil company
operating in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Speaking on behalf of the Board of Directors, Nick Zana, Chairman of the Board,
expressed his appreciation for the significant contributions made towards the
Company's success, and wishes Mr. Alshinbaev and Mr. Maxwell well for the
future.
