                 NELSON ANNOUNCES ONTARIO SECURITIES COMMISSION
                        INVESTIGATION CONCERNING TRADING
                                        

Toronto, Ontario, Tuesday, October 26, 2005 - Nelson Resources Limited of
Bermuda (TSX/AIM: NLG) today announced that the Ontario Securities Commission
("OSC") has notified Nelson that the OSC is conducting an investigation of the
trading in the shares of Nelson. The OSC advises that the investigation is
prompted by the announcement of the Lukoil transaction on September 30, 2005.

Nick Zana, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nelson, stated that "as I
mentioned in the October 3, 2005 investor teleconference, I welcome an
investigation of all of the trading activity that occurred prior to Lukoil's
approach. We have presented information to the OSC on this matter and will
continue to fully cooperate with the OSC in its investigation."
