                      NELSON RESOURCES LIMITED ANNOUNCES                       
                    CONFERENCE CALL REGARDING LUKOIL OFFER                     

Nelson Resources Limited (TSX / AIM: NLG) will hold a conference call, hosted
by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Nick Zana, to discuss the previously
announced agreement to negotiate with Lukoil Overseas Holding Ltd. (Lukoil)
concerning a proposal by Lukoil to acquire 100% of the fully diluted common
shares of the Company for US$2,000,000,000 in cash.

The conference call will take place on Monday, October 3, 2005, at 2:30pm BST
(1:30pm GMT, 9:30am EDT). There will be a short presentation followed by a
question and answer session.
