                              Exercise of Options

Nelson Resources Limited (TSX / AIM: NLG), a leading independent oil development
and production company operating in Kazakhstan, announces that Gilles Thieffry,
a non-executive director of the company, has exercised an option over and
subsequently sold 333,333 common shares. The option, originally granted on
August 18, 2004, was exercisable at a price of CDN$1.45 per share. Subsequent to
the sale Mr Thieffrey holds no further interest in the common shares of Nelson.
