GLOBAL ENERGY DEVELOPMENT PLC

SUBSCRIPTION OF SHARES 
 
 
Global Energy Development PLC announces that on 15 June 2009 (the 
"Subscription Date") 
certain Directors and senior managers of the Company (the 
"Subscribers") have, in lieu of salary 
 compensation and cash bonuses due to 
them, elected to subscribe for a total of 110,581 ordinary 
 shares of 1 
pence each in the Company (the "Subscription"). 
 
 
The number of new ordinary shares subscribed for by each individual was 
calculated using the average closing mid-market price per ordinary share for the 
five business days preceding the Subscription Date, being 58.75p. 
 
 
Following the Subscription, the Directors interests in the issued share capital 
of the Company will be as follows:

The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing shares of the 
Company.Application has been made for the 110,581 new ordinary shares to be 
admitted to trading on AIM ("Admission") 
and it is expected that Admission 
will become effective and dealings in the new ordinary shares will commence at 
08:00 a.m. on 22 June 2009.  Following the Subscription, there will 
be 
35,439,009 ordinary shares in issue.
