Perini Corporation Announces the Appointment of John A. Loftus, P.E. to the Position of President, Perini Civil

Perini Corporation (NYSE:PCR) is pleased to announce today that
John A. Loftus, P.E., has been appointed to the position of
President of Perini Civil Division, headquartered in Peekskill, NY.
Mr. Loftus is currently the President and CEO of Cherry Hill
Construction, Inc. of Jessup, MD, a wholly-owned subsidiary of
Perini Corporation. Mr. Loftus has been a Senior Vice President
with Perini since 1997 and has managed major construction projects
for Perini and Perini-sponsored joint ventures since 1994,
including contracts on the Central Artery/Third Harbor Tunnel in
Boston (also known as the �Big Dig�) and the reconstruction of the
South Roadways of the Williamsburg Bridge in New York City. Prior
to joining Perini, Mr. Loftus provided construction management
services and managed civil construction projects in the United
States for Kiewit Construction Company, Grow Tunneling Corporation
and other major civil and marine contractors since 1971. He
received a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from Villanova
University in 1971. Mr. Loftus is a Licensed Professional Engineer
in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Mr.
Loftus replaces Mr. Zohrab B. Marashlian, who will retire effective
March 31, 2007 after 35 years of dedicated service and leadership
of Perini Corporation�s Civil construction operations. Perini Civil
is responsible for major public works construction and the repair,
replacement and reconstruction of infrastructure projects in the
New York and New Jersey metropolitan areas. Cherry Hill
Construction is focused on civil works projects in the Metropolitan
Baltimore/Washington, D.C market with operations throughout the
Mid-Atlantic States and Florida. In addition to his new
responsibilities, Mr. Loftus will continue to have oversight
responsibility for Cherry Hill Construction.
