CBS Corp. (CBS, CBSA) is in a group of four to six bidders who
have entered the second round of bidding for Dick Clark
Productions, Reuters reported late Friday, citing two sources.
Bids are due by Aug. 31 and $350 million is being sought for the
production company, Reuters said.
Private equity firm Colony Capital, which owns film studio
Miramax, private equity firm Guggenheim Partners, and Core Media
Group, which holds the rights to the Elvis Presley brand and
produces "American Idol" are among the other bidders, Reuters said,
with The Raine Group overseeing the process.
