AXA Investment Managers, the asset management arm of insurance giant AXA SA (AXA), said Thursday it named Jean-Pierre Leoni as head of Asia-Pacific, effective Jan. 1.

Leoni joined the company in 1998 as head of credit, and has led AXA Investment Managers' product specialist unit since 2005. The firm didn't say who he is replacing.

AXA Investment Managers also said it plans to further strengthen its sales teams in the Asia-Pacific region in the coming months.
