      I have not bought any shares to date. $1.96 ($1.97 in the early trading hours) seems like a decent entry point, but I'm not sure it's an investment for me at this point. I don't see any upside potential, but it's just my opinion.

      Does anybody know how much capital PFBC needs to raise? According to the President, it will not be a problem. If the bank stays away from land loans and construction loans, the stock price could triple by year end. Does anybody else have a viewpoint.

      Interesting information Riverside. I appreciate it. I've been on the fence for a bit, but maybe I should look into freeing up some money and pick up some shares.

      I heard part of the conference call yesterday. They really got into trouble participating with other banks making construction loans and land loans out of the area. I am sure they discontinued that practice. The President also said the company would have not problem raising the Capital to statisfy the FDIC.

      I do not think catering to the Asian American businesses is a problem. I live in Southern California and this is the capital of Chinese imports. Just about everything we buy these days comes from China and it comes through Long Beach and San Pedro (Los Angeles). Preferred bank makes loans and issues Letters of Credit for these business, which is their core business.

      I also have some more local information. We have here in Riverside one of the main railroad tracks back East. Before the recession, we had a 110 freight car rumble through our town every half hour. I was always getting stopped by trains. The trains really dropped off in late 2009 and now the trains are starting to pick up again. (Riverside is preparing to dig a tunnel under the railroad tracks on our main drag.)

      I just did a Vector Vest analysis on Preferred Bank they stated it was a buy. Another company says a strong buy.

      I am really excited about this company. I think their problems are almost behind them and I expect dividends by the first of the year.

      Yea, I guess we would all be rich if we knew when to buy and sell. It looks like PFBC is heading below $2.50. If it goes to $2.00, I will buy.

      I wish I could tell you. I'm not a 100% sure if this stock has the legs to get back to the $60/share it had back in 2007 or if it even has the legs to get to $10/share. The company's business model and clientele is very limited because they cater to Asian American is CA which for me is a bit of a concern.

      It's also hard to determine if today's drop is profit taking (which occurred alot yesterday) or whether it's related to the fact that all big boards are down due to the concern over debt issues in Greece.

      It might. Today's move had alot to do with the news they released which was smart on their part. The thing to watch now is if it holds up until the actual financials are released.

      It might, but there will definitely be some profit taking by noon and after that. I think people are a little weary of the current independent bank craze because there is not a very strong driving force behind it. The current state of the national economy has not sginificantly improved, yet all of these independent banks continue to flourish.

      I will say that their preliminary financials for the 1Q sound very promising.

      Wow! Back from the dead after this morning's drop, but a lot of stuff I've been reading says that recent rise, among a still very shaky national economy, of regional banks maybe short lived . Any comments? I'm just trying to see if there is anything left in this and whether or not it could be a long term play.

      I have a great feeling about this stock. They had a small profit last quarter and after losses for two years. The real estate market is firming in California, their President said that they have more than adequate loan loss reserves and there non performing loans have been decreasing. This stock is trading at $1.69 and and it was once over $60 a share in 2007. Their book value per stock is over $7.00
