Naw, virus infected EM's economies never better POS...

Will try to wake this board from slumber.

EDZ just getting started on a tremendous run here. First resistance is the March high of 77. If the shares can get through and sustain it, then lots of room to advance above there. No resistance until triple digits. Current support at 45. Happy trading.

EDZ continues to trade in the rising channel since January. Highly volatile as well.

As mentioned in prior post, Ten Cent Holdings is the number one position in the MSCI Emerging Markets Index. Trades on the pink sheets in the U.S. under the symbol TCEHY. Closed Friday at 43.14, down from its high of 61 in January. Could easily drop another 40-50% from here.

The EM's got the flu bug it seems. The $USD flu. So far doesn't look like a cure is coming from Powell either.

The only EM index that's still hanging on is Bombay. The chart of $BSE is the only one still rising but India is just 9% of the MSCI EMI. Only 1 Indian company in the top 10 holdings, Reliance Industries, and it comprises less than 1% of the index.

57% of the fund is China, South Korea and Taiwan. Stick a fork in all three of them, they're done. Number 1 position is TenCent Holdings, just under 5% of the index.

EDZ chart as bullish as it gets off the January low at 33.30. Bounced nicely off the 9-week MA this week.

Got back in EDZ recently.

Daily chart on a buy signal.

The weekly chart not quite there yet but getting close.

Price couldn't break resistance at $41 so dumped it on Friday.

Still no real direction for EM's up or down.

Flat for now.

Got in a bit too early on this but looks like it's turning around.

Asian EM's red tonight. Shanghai and Jakarta leading the way down.

If Europe/Africa EM's follow suit, might be a nice day for EDZ on Tuesday.

Anyone else paying attention to the EDZ chart?

With the exception of that spike low on Sep 17, the chart has not violated the nice uptrend in place since late April. Pretty impressive for a 3X leveraged ETF.

Even on that intra-day spike low, the price bounced hard back above the 50-day before the close.

I was especially surprised that MACD never got below the zero line though it came close.

Technicals all turning around here and heading up.

Expecting a bit more of an advance yet. Mid-50's to perhaps 60 in the short-term.

Sold my EDC yesterday and re-entered EDZ. Missed the respective spike highs/lows of each but no complaints. These two issues have been ATM's lately.

I like the chart action on EDZ. Breached below the 50-day and then bounced strong back above. Looks good to go.

Exited the remainder of my holdings in EDZ in the 60's this morning. Too slow to hit the spike into the 70's.

Now playing EDC for a bounce.

Weekly chart on a buy signal.

Shanghai down 8% overnight. The next leg down for China just got underway. Brazil and Mexico have fallen down and can't get up. South Korea gave a sell signal last week. Bombay very close to a sell signal.

Perhaps EDZ can bust thru 40 today.

Next real resistance at 50.

ETF is up 9% and nobody has any comments?

Tough crowd...

Daily chart has been looking good. Broke above the 50-day last week. Now hugging the top BB so a bit overbought, short-term.

Still no confirmed buy signal on the weekly chart...yet. Getting very close. Still waiting on MACD to confirm. At least the price broke above the 20-day EMA today on the weekly chart.

Yup.

Biggest plus though is the CCI is above 100. Hasn't been above since mid December.

The long-term chart is close to a confirmed technical buy but not there yet. Might get confirmation this week.

EDZ should pop Tuesday. Shanghai down nearly 8% today. Brazil down 2.5%.

If you have been following our board you know I called Emerging markets back at the start of the New Year……..it was one of my big calls for 2014…….so far it has proven to be a major winner………there is a possibility the emerging markets rally is running out of steam……the situation is being monitored closely and if in fact the emerging markets do pullback I'd expect EDZ to return some nice % gains……..the beauty of Inverse ETF's…….you can "go short" by going long an inverse ETF………EDZ & EDC are 3x ETF's…….3 x the risk & the 3 x the possible reward……….$$$

JPM says Emerging Markets are a BUY!!!

EEM, (emerging markets), just took out the July highs and tends to lead SPX.

Euro crumbling ,asia in decline, political turmoil, gold soaring...looks like EDZ will be the next big runner.

You want some bang for the buck when this overbought GS driven pig mkt collapses then spend but USD 7 for TZA. When the Saints come marching in we be right at the front. If you put ear to ground you can already hear it, its near now.
