Commercial aircraft builder Airbus booked 15 new orders and delivered 37 planes in August, the Toulouse, France-based unit of European Aeronautic Defence & Space Co NV (EAD.FR) said Friday.

August's order book included seven orders for A330-300 aircraft from Thai Airways (THAI.TH).

For the first eight months of the year, the company took in new orders for 301 aircraft, or a net order intake of 250 after taking into account cancellations by customers.

Airbus delivered 335 planes over the January to August period.
