The Company has today been informed that as a result of the purchase of
750,000 ordinary shares of 25p each in the Company by Exeter Smaller Companies
Income Fund Ltd on 21 September 2000, the aggregate holding of clients of
Exeter Asset Management Ltd in the Company is now 3,200,000 ordinary shares of
25p  (representing 8.00% of the issued share capital).

The aggregate holding of Exeter Asset Management Ltd is held as follows:

- Exeter Enhanced Income Fund Ltd 1,000,000 (2.50%)

- Exeter High Income Unit Trust 1,450,000 (3.62%)

- Exeter Smaller Companies Fund Ltd 750,000 (1.87%)
