RE:                          PROGRESS DRILLING REPORT FOR C-4-3
                             BANDA EXPLORATION WELL, OFFSHORE MAURITANIA



Dear Sir/Madam



Hardman Resources Ltd ("Hardman") provides the following progress report on the
drilling of the C-4-3 Banda exploration well, offshore Mauritania.


Progress:                         The well was spudded on 10/9/02 and is currently at
(Previous 7 days to 14:00 hours   1,534 metres and drilling ahead in 121/4 inch (311mm) hole size.

                                  Note: All reported depths are referenced to the rig rotary table.


Geology & Hydrocarbon Shows:      Hydrocarbon shows will only be reported after wireline logs have been
                                  run and evaluated for that hole size section.

Prospect Description:             The C-4-3 Banda exploration well is located in PSC Area A in 306 metres
                                  water depth and is approximately 21 kilometres east of Chinguetti-1.
                                  The Banda well will be drilled to a planned total depth of 2,560 metres
                                  and is targeting the same sand system which is the oil reservoir at the
                                  Chinguetti field.



                                  Note:  Under the well naming convention adopted by the Mauritanian
                                  government all wells drilled by Woodside will follow the naming
                                  convention of "Chinguetti - Block No - Well No.".  In order to avoid
                                  confusion the prospect name has been appended to the end of the well
                                  name.



Equity participation in the C-4-3 Banda exploration well is as follows:



              Hardman Resources Ltd                24.3%

              Fusion Oil & Gas NL                   3.0%

              Roc Oil (Mauritania) Company          2.7%

              Agip Mauritania BV                   35.0%

              Woodside Mauritania Pty Ltd          35.0%
