Zurich Insurance Group AG (ZURN.EB) said Monday that it has acquired 19 businesses in Latin America, operating under the Travel Ace and Universal Assistance brands.

The Swiss insurance group said that it was looking to accelerate growth of its Cover-More travel-insurance business by buying travel-assistance providers across Latin America, including in Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Colombia.

Zurich will acquire the 19 legal entities across Latin America through share purchase agreements, the company said.

Financial details of the agreements were not disclosed.

Zurich said the deal was expected to close in the second quarter of 2018.
