Vinci Wins Contract for Works Package for Lyon-Turin Rail Line

Vinci SA said Friday that a consortium led by Vinci Construction
Grands Projets won a 220 million euro ($249.1 million) contract for
a works package for the Lyon-Turin rail line.
The French construction-and-infrastructure company said the
contract includes the construction of four 500-meter-deep shafts at
Avrieux, southeastern France, as well as digging galleries and
seven caverns.
The project, which was awarded by the Tunnel Euralpin Lyon
Turin, will employ up to 250 workers over the next 36 months,
according to Vinci.
