Deutsche Post AG (DPW.XE) said Tuesday that the proposed pricing
decision of Germany's federal network agency on some mail items
could result in lower-than-expected price increases for some mail
items.
"To achieve the profits targets of the Post & Paket
Deutschland division on this basis additional cost reduction
measures would be required," the logistics and postal company
said.
According to the agency's decision on the pricing of items of up
to 1000 grams, Deutsche Post would be allowed pricing headroom of
4.8% from April this year until the end of 2021.
A final decision from the agency is expected for the middle of
March.
