Deutsche Post AG (DPW.XE) said Monday that it plans to create a
dedicated international parcel and e-commerce division to drive
growth in the booming sector.
The new division, eCommerce Solutions, will be headed by Ken
Allen, who oversees customer solutions and innovation, the German
postal company said.
Deutsche Post's international parcel and e-commerce business was
previously part of the Post - eCommerce - Parcel, or PeP division,
which will focus on post and parcel operations in Germany in the
future, it said. The PeP unit will be renamed Post & Paket
Deutschland.
The company said John Pearson will take over the board mandate
for DHL Express.
All changes are effective Jan. 1, Deutsche Post said.
