Deutsche Post AG (DPW.XE) will invest 750 million euros ($978
million) in its parcel business by 2015, it said Wednesday.
The German mailing company wants to open 20,000 outlets where
people can send parcels, in addition to the 30,000 it already
operates. This will include an increasing number of DHL shops in
retailers as well as traditional post offices. This year, 10,000 of
the new outlets will begin operations.
The company expects the e-commerce business will continue to
grow, with an increasing number of people ordering goods through
online retailers.
Looking beyond 2015, Deutsche Post wants to continue to expand
and invest in its parcel business, the company added.
