SUMMERSIDE, PE, Oct. 6, 2011 /CNW/ - Prince Edward Island basketball fans scored big today when Rogers Communications announced a two-year, premier title sponsorship agreement with the Summerside Storm of the National Basketball League of Canada (NBL). Rogers first play as the new title sponsor of the Storm was to provide Prince Edward Islanders with 4,000 complimentary tickets to Rogers Slam Dunk Day. On October 26, 2011 basketball fans will be courtside to witness all the excitement as the Summerside Storm take on the Saint John Mill Rats in the first game at Credit Union Place. "Rogers is proud to be sponsoring the Summerside Storm in their inaugural season and giving basketball fans the opportunity to experience the exciting entertainment  of a live sold-out Storm game," said Susan Gordon, Vice President of Marketing Services, Rogers Communications. The sponsorship agreement will enable Rogers to support the Storm's community involvement at schools, basketball camps and store locations in addition to game execution opportunities including Rogers contesting, Rogers Zone and brand recognition, resulting in more excitement at home games for fans and players of the NBL.
