Gold Stocks Move Ahead Amid War Fears

Gold company stocks are gaining ground Monday, following an
increase in gold prices tied to fears the U.S. and Iran may be
headed toward wider conflict.
Shares of Barrick Gold Corp. (ABX.T) and Newmont Goldcorp Corp.
(NEM) were up 1.5% and 0.9%, respectively, in morning trading.
Gold-focused royalty company Franco-Nevada Corp. (FNV.T) shares
rose 1.6%.
Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd.'s (KL.T) stock moved 1.9% higher, while
the American depository receipts for South African miner AngloGold
Ashanti Ltd. (AU) gained 2.5%.
The continuous contract for gold futures rose 1.5% to $1,576.10,
according to FactSet.
