MIAMI, March 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Bronto Software,
the leader in commerce marketing automation and a NetSuite (NYSE:
N) company, has announced its 2016 Golden Bronto Award winners. In
their second year, the Golden Bronto Awards recognize the valuable
contributions digital marketers create for their organizations. The
awards highlight some of the best practices in the ecommerce
industry and inspire fellow marketers to emulate exceptional and
innovative marketing campaigns from Bronto customers and partners.
Last year's winners include notonthehighstreet.com, UK's top online
marketplace for personalized products, and Bonobos, a revolutionary
men's apparel e-retailer.
"Just when we thought we had seen it all, our customers and
partners develop creative new methods for reaching prospects and
customers in personal, meaningful ways that bridge the gap between
brick-and-mortar and digital channels," said Joe Colopy, CEO of Bronto Software. "I'm honored
to announce our 2016 Golden Bronto winners and wish each and every
one a well-deserved, hearty congratulation."
The 2016 Golden Bronto winners are:
Marketing Program of the Year – Paul Fredrick
Paul Fredrick designs, manufactures
and distributes a growing collection of classic menswear. The brand
had a thriving email marketing program and wanted to continue its
year-over-year growth. Sending more emails wasn't the answer.
Instead, they revamped their sending strategy with a combination of
automated messages, including cart abandonment and post-purchase.
Paul Fredrick achieved more than 70%
revenue growth from recurring messages and a 5.6% increase in
email-generated revenue YOY from post-purchase email campaigns.
Abandoned cart messages saw an over 10% conversion rate in just
three months.
Best Abandoned Cart Campaign – The Annie Selke
Companies
The Annie Selke Companies offers home products by designer
Annie Selke. In 2015, they used
Bronto's Cart Recovery app to create and test three emails to
recover potential sales from abandoned carts. The testing helped
them find the optimal subject line and email content and increase
open rate and number of orders. On average, the brand now recovers
almost 10% of its abandoned carts. For Cyber Monday, they went
further and incorporated a promotion into abandoned cart messages,
generating a 117% increase in average, monthly, email-generated
revenue.
Most Successful Campaign – FSAstore.com
FSAstore.com is the only ecommerce site stocked exclusively with
products eligible for flexible spending account (FSA) purchases.
The company wanted to give customers a new, personalized holiday to
celebrate: their shopping anniversary with FSAstore.com. Using
intricate segmentation based on the date of their first purchase,
shoppers received a unique discount code toward their next
purchase. The email conversion rate performed 114% better than
emails without the date-of-purchase segmentation. In addition,
revenue per email increased 975% or $1.72 per email. The unsubscribe rate was one of
the lowest FSAstore.com has ever seen – 99% lower than the
average.
Best Integration Success – American Meadows
American Meadows is a highly respected online retailer of seed
packets, bulbs and live plants. Seeds and bulbs take time to grow
and bloom, so it's difficult to get timely customer reviews. To
remedy this, American Meadows linked Bronto, Magento, Response by
Colinear and Power Reviews to automate messages soliciting reviews
from customers based on growing zones and time from shipment to
expected bloom. Customers received these messages when they're
seeing growing and blooming. Results included open rates in excess
of 36%, click rates over 13% and conversion rates over 1.2%. The
reviews appear in American Meadows' Google feeds, allowing it to
display ratings in search ads and also help support Google Trusted
Stores.
Overachiever Award – James
Cook, Plumbworld
James Cook, email marketing
specialist for Plumbworld, achieved the highest-ever score on the
Bronto Certified Specialist Exam this past year. Bronto
certification allows marketers to increase their knowledge of the
Bronto Marketing Platform, create more effective marketing
campaigns and help their organizations make better use of Bronto to
meet their business goals. Bronto Certified Specialists must
demonstrate expert knowledge of the platform and pass a rigorous
100-question exam, which covers workflow automation, webforms,
dynamic content and list management, among other topics. Those who
successfully complete the challenging program become members of an
elite group of Bronto users and must recertify every three
years.
Thought Leadership Champion (partner) – Gorilla
Group
Gorilla Group is a digital agency with more than two decades of
experience and a regular contributor of thought leadership to
industry publications. Their opinions are often referenced in
reports by influential advisory firms, including Forrester
Research, Gartner, Digital Clarity Group and SAP Business. The
agency is also committed to educating clients and differentiating
itself from other ecommerce solution providers through its original
research and content. It recently published B2B and B2C
benchmarking reports, providing hard-to-find data that empowers

ecommerce industry, hosting joint events and participating in
co-marketing opportunities that bring together customers, prospects
and thought leaders. For instance, SD organizes prospecting events
that introduce partners to C-level decision-makers for potential
