LONDON--Gold Fields Ltd. (GFI.JO) said Wednesday production in 2015 was in line with guidance, with costs better than previously estimated.

Group attributable equivalent gold production is expected to be 2.16 million ounces, within 1% of the original guidance provided in February 2015 of 2.17 million ounces, the company said.

All-in sustaining costs for the year are estimated at $1,020 an ounce, compared with guidance in November of $1,035. These costs include maintenance and operating costs.

For the fourth quarter group attributable equivalent gold production is expected to be 566,000 ounces, compared with 556,700 ounces in the third quarter with all-in sustaining costs of $940 per ounce, compared with $948 in the earlier quarter, Gold Fields said.

Earnings for 2015 will be announced on Feb. 18.
