Dow Jones News
By Jessica Sier
Peugeot SA said late Wednesday that Stellantis will be the new
name for the merged entity with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV.
The French and Italian companies are in the middle of a 50/50
merger that will create the fourth-largest car manufacturer in the
world.
Stellantis stems from the Latin verb "stello," which means to
"brighten with stars."
The merger is set for completion in the first quarter of
2021.
