Berman to Lead Television Company's ABC Affiliate in Hampton/Norfolk DALLAS, July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Belo Corp. (NYSE:BLC) announced today that James R. (Jim) Berman has been named president and general manager of WVEC-TV, Belo's ABC affiliate in Hampton/Norfolk, beginning August 4, 2008. He will join WVEC from WHP-TV and WLYH-TV in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where he served as vice president and general manager since November 2006. Berman previously served as vice president and general manager at WSAV-TV in Savannah, Georgia from 2003 to 2006 and at WETM-TV in Elmira, New York from 2001 to 2003. He will report to Kathy Clements, Belo's senior vice president/Television Operations. "Jim has delivered remarkable results throughout his career, most recently at WHP and WLYH," said Clements. Berman earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Rutgers University where he also served as general manager of WRSU-FM.
