Merill Lynch Swiss Unit Names Mario Alini Acting CEO

Merrill Lynch Wealth Management has appointed Mario Alini as acting General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of Merrill Lynch Bank (Suisse) S.A., effective immediately, the company said Monday.

MAIN POINTS:

-Sharing his time between Geneva and Zurich, Switzerland, Mario will report directly David Jervis, head of EMEA Wealth Management.

-Mario will also continue as CAO for MLCM reporting to Franz Barthel, Chief Administration Officer of Merrill Lynch Capital Markets for Germany.

-Mario Alini has 21 years of experience within the financial sector. He joined Merrill Lynch in 2007 as Chief Administration Officer of Capital Markets for Switzerland and continues in this role today.

-Before joining the firm, other roles included as Executive Management member in the role Chief Financial Officer for Bank Leumi (Switzerland) AG, and before he worked for several years an roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers and head of G8 currencies at SBB.
