O'Bryant, who joined Aflac in 1993 and has spent the last nine years in Japan, will return to the United States to launch a private equity firm focused on investing in and partnering with emerging growth companies. O'Bryant held various positions during his tenure with Aflac, including deputy chief financial officer of Aflac Incorporated. Most recently, he was president of Aflac International with oversight responsibility for Aflac Payment Service, Aflac Insurance Service and aflacdirect.com .
