Williams to the newly-created position of vice president and general manager for BPM solutions. Williams is a widely recognized authority on business process management (BPM) and continuous process improvement. He joins webMethods from Savvi International, where he served as president for this leading provider of business performance improvement solutions for Six Sigma, Lean and other process management techniques. Previously, he was co-founder of the Six Sigma Management Institute (SSMI). In addition, he is the co-author of the just-published Lean for Dummies (John Wiley & Sons) as well as the best-seller Six Sigma for Dummies. Williams began his career in the aerospace industry, where he was a member of the technical team that developed and launched the Hubble Telescope. Williams holds dual Masters of Engineering Management and Computer Science degrees from the University of Colorado and The Johns Hopkins University. He also earned a BS in Physics and Astrophysics from the University of Colorado.
