Synplicity's enhanced Synplify Pro(R) software can provide designers using Stratix II and Stratix II GX devices up to a 20 percent performance boost in timing compared to a prior version of the software released in October 2005. Optimizations within the latest release of the Synplify Pro software also provide customers of Altera's first generation of Stratix devices and the Cyclone family of FPGAs with additional performance improvements. A second improvement is in register re-timing where timing delay is automatically balanced between registers to enable overall faster clock speed.
