Convergys Corporation (NYSE:CVG), a global leader in providing customer care, human resources and billing services, announced today that ntl Telewest has signed a licensing agreement for Convergys' ICOMS customer care and billing solution. ntl Telewest is UK's largest cable operator and a leading provider of broadband, digital television, telephony, content, and communications services to homes, businesses, and public sector organizations. ntl (NASDAQ:NTLI) will replace four architecturally and technologically different legacy billing systems with Convergys' ICOMS solution that includes Network Inventory Management capabilities. Once implemented in 2007, ICOMS will be the single billing and customer care infrastructure supporting over 5 million video, telephony, and broadband customers resulting from the recent ntl and Telewest merger. Telewest has been using Convergys' ICOMS solution since 1996. The ICOMS implementation will be a major contributor to achieving significant cost savings as well as facilitating significant improvements in ntl�s customer care.
