CLEVELAND, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:LECO) today announced that Patrick S. Wahlen has been appointed Global Business Director - Power Generation. Mr. Wahlen will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing Lincoln's growing business in the global power generation market. He also will play a critical role in the advancement of the Company's global business segmentation approach to the major welding markets and industry segments. "Patrick's strong international background and industry knowledge qualify him to help lead our efforts as we pursue strategic long-term opportunities in growing global markets," said Richard J. Seif, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Wahlen earned bachelor's and master's degrees in nuclear physics from Purdue University prior to joining Lincoln Electric in 1989. After eight years as a Technical Representative in the United States, he was promoted to Lincoln's Manager for Southern Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 2002, he was named Managing Director of Lincoln Electric do Brazil in Sao Paulo and was successful in significantly increasing sales.
