The HELPcard has reported faster and more effective collection recovery as a result of deploying the debt collection solution from Latitude Software, an Interactive Intelligence Group Inc. (Nasdaq: ININ) company.

“Latitude software suite’s Windows-based architecture has made it easier to connect to our legacy systems and has enabled our collectors to access all account information from a single interface,” said The HELPcard’s vice president of application development, Eddy Ragle. “As a result, our agents are more immediately equipped with accurate account information and can more effectively collect payments.”

The HELPcard, a private credit card label, has also benefited from Latitude software suite’s online, real-time credit card payment and post-dated check interfaces.

“The debt recovery process has become faster and easier because we can access online interfaces for payments over the Web,” said The HELPcard’s director of collections, Donna Taylor. “Latitude’s easy to use agent interface has further helped us speed the collection process and it’s made agent training a breeze.”

The HELPcard selected the Latitude software suite to replace a third-party solution it had outgrown.

“We looked at a variety of different systems,” Ragle said. “We selected the Latitude software suite because of its intuitive, feature-rich interface and the ‘can-do’ attitude of the company’s management and support teams. As an example, Latitude’s developers set up our system so we could use it to access a number of different credit bureaus. This has resulted in a more streamlined process for greater efficiencies.”

The HELPcard purchased Latitude Center, the vendor’s core product for managing all pre- and post-charge-off accounts and the entire collection workflow process. It also uses Latitude Exchange for the rapid development of data import and export jobs.

Since the deployment, The HELPcard has been impressed with Latitude’s customer service. “Latitude’s management and customer service teams have been quick to provide us with guidance when asked,” said The HELPcard’s recovery manager, Michael Vogle. “Latitude’s ability to serve both third-party and first-party collectors has also given us a competitive edge.”
