Cypress Named to Ocean Tomo® 300 Patent Index for Sixth Consecutive Year

Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (Nasdaq:CY) today announced that for the sixth consecutive year, it was named a constituent in the Ocean Tomo 300® Patent Index; the first equity index based on the value of corporate intellectual property.

The Ocean Tomo 300® Patent Index is an exchange traded fund (ETF) consisting of diversified valuable patent portfolios relative to the book value of the company. It is priced and published by the NYSE Euronext (NYSE: OTPAT).

Cypress has been granted over 1,700 patents and has approximately 1,000 patents pending. The patents cover a wide variety of technologies, including PSoC® programmable system-on-chip, touch and capacitive sensing, USB, memories and optical navigation sensors.
