Procera� Networks Inc. (AMEX: PKT), a developer of Evolved Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) solutions providing traffic awareness, control and protection for complex networks, recently announced that the company has secured $6 million in private placement financing. The lead investor, with a $1 million contribution, is Mr. Tom Saponas, former CTO of Agilent Corporation and a member of Procera's Board of Directors since April 1, 2004.

"I have observed the innovation and quality of Procera's technology and products over many years," Saponas said. "Today, the management team and overall strategy are also aligned to deliver the results I expect."

This investment contribution will allow Procera to accelerate the hiring and training of Field Engineers and accelerate the purchase of inventory for its recently announced high-end platform, the PacketLogic PL10000.
