Hungarian Telephone and Cable Corp. (AMEX:HTC) announced today that due to the recent changes in its executive management and the recent appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers Kft. as its independent auditor, Hungarian Telephone and Cable Corp. ("HTCC") will delay the announcement of its financial results for the first quarter 2007 and the filing of its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q with the SEC. HTCC expects to announce its financial results, and file its report with the SEC, on or before May 15, 2007. HTCC expects that future reports will be filed in a timely manner.
