HTC Hungarian Telephone And Cable Corp

Hungarian Telephone and Cable Corp. (AMEX:HTC) announced today that it has appointed PricewaterhouseCoopers Kft. ("PWC") as its independent auditor to audit Hungarian Telephone and Cable Corp.'s 2007 financial statements. The appointment of PWC will be submitted to the HTCC's stockholders for their ratification at HTCC's Annual Stockholders meeting to be held in New York on May 24, 2007.
