Symantec Shares Jumped 23% After-Hours Following Reports of Broadcom Interest

Shares of Symantec Corp. (SYMC) are rising in Tuesday's
after-hours market, following media reports that Broadcom Inc.
(AVG) is in advanced talks to buy the company.
At 6:41 p.m. ET, Symantec shares are up 23.08%, trading at
$27.49. They closed the day's regular session with a gain of 0.18%,
finishing at $22.10.
In after-hours trading, Broadcom shares have lost 1.7% and are
trading at $290.31.
On Friday evening, Bloomberg television reported Broadcom is in
advanced talks to buy the cybersecurity software and services
company.
