Facebook to Appeal UK Fine -BBC

--Facebook Inc. (FB) is appealing a fine levied against it by
the U.K. Information Commissioner's Office that was imposed in the
wake of revelations Cambridge Analytica improperly handled users'
data, the BBC reported Tuesday.
--Facebook is arguing that because the ICO was unable to find
evidence that U.K. users' data was improperly shared, the
GBP500,000 wasn't justified, the report said.
--The fine was the maximum allowed under U.K. law. At the time
it was imposed, the regulator said it would have handed the social
network a bigger fine if it could have.
