Glencore Announces Job Cuts at Australia Coal Mine

Glencore PLC (GLEN.LN) said Monday that it will cut around 430
jobs at its operations at the Hail Creek coal mine in
Australia.
The layoffs are the result of proposed changes to improve
efficiency and productivity, the company said. It expects the
reconfigurations to come into effect over the course of the next
year and half, with the majority in place by the second quarter of
2019.
