Telefon AB L.M. Ericsson (ERIC) said Monday that it and LG Electronics Inc. (066570.SE) have renewed their global patent license agreement, including a cross license that covers patents relating to both companies' 2G, 3G and 4G cellular communication standards.

Ericsson said that the agreement was confidential and agreed on fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory terms.
