PHOTO RELEASE--16 Huntington Ingalls Industries Employees Honored for STEM Achievements at National Conference

Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE:HII) announced today that 16
employees from the company’s Ingalls and Newport News shipbuilding
divisions were recognized for achievements in science, technology,
engineering and math (STEM) during the 22nd annual Women of Color
STEM Conference.
“The annual Women of Color STEM Conference is an opportunity to
celebrate the women of HII whose deep dedication helps keep America
and our allies safe,” said Bill Ermatinger, HII’s corporate vice
president and chief human resources officer. “It also gives us a
chance to acknowledge the importance of STEM careers to our
business and the industry as a whole. HII is proud of the 16 bright
minds who are representing us this year.”
HII was among the corporate sponsors that supported this year’s
event, which was held last week in Detroit.
Four HII employees received Technology All-Star awards, which
recognize accomplished women of color from mid-level to advanced
stages of their careers who have demonstrated excellence in the
workplace and in their communities. They are:
• Debbie Clark, software development analyst, Ingalls• Donna
Gardner, program control director, Ingalls• Robin May, industrial
engineering manager, Ingalls• Angela Pierre, administration
director, Ingalls
Twelve HII employees received Technology Rising Star awards that
recognize women who are helping to shape future technology. They
are:
• Ashley Allman, industrial engineer, Ingalls• Kia Conyer,
electrical engineer, Newport News• Kimberly Cooley, accountant,
Ingalls• Tracey Cryer, electrical engineer, Ingalls• Bridget
Douglas, program cost control analyst, Ingalls• Emmylou Dullas,
nuclear engineer, Newport News• Carmilla Hoard, foreman, Ingalls•
Jennifer Jones, administration manager, Ingalls •
Bridgette Kirkpatrick, administration manager, Ingalls• April
Martin, project management manager, Ingalls• Camisha Peterson,
electrical engineer, Ingalls• Stefani Werner, modeling and
simulation engineer, Newport News
