Harsco Renews Five-Year Scrap Management Contract With Egypt’s EZDK Steel Company

Harsco Corporation (NYSE:HSC) announced today that its Harsco
Metals & Minerals division has successfully renewed its Scrap
Management contract with Al Ezz Dekheila Steel Company (EZDK), the
manufacturer of long and flat steel products in the Middle East and
North Africa. The five-year contract renewal extends Harsco’s scrap
management services at the massive EZDK Alexandria plant, one of
the largest integrated steel plants in the Middle East and North
Africa region.
Harsco has been providing onsite steel mill services in Egypt
since 1994, successfully strengthening its market share year on
year. Announcing the award, Harsco Metals & Minerals chief
operating officer Chris Whistler said, “As we continue to grow our
market-leading role in the Middle East and Africa region, this
renewal reflects our customers’ confidence in Harsco’s
long-standing commitments to quality and safety. Our regional
