To help building owners and operators, IT and facilities
managers, commercial real estate managers and consultants stay
abreast of trends and learn best practices for deploying
intelligent building infrastructure, CommScope is hosting “The
Evolution of the Workplace” workshops in four U.S. cities in August
2017. These single-day events, available to registered guests at no
cost, will include presentations by intelligent building experts
from CommScope, Navigant Research, IBM and JLL.
“The technology evolution in commercial buildings is astounding
and includes applications for energy efficiency, space utilization,
enterprise mobility, data analytics and the overall in-building
experience,” said Ed Solis, director, Enterprise Strategy,
CommScope. “To make sense of so much change requires partnerships,
advisors and collaborators, which is why CommScope is bringing
together players from across the industry for these workshops.”
“The Evolution of the Workplace” will include insights from four
unique perspectives of the intelligent building ecosystem:
- Network infrastructure leader CommScope
will review the latest connectivity technologies—wired and
wireless—along with best practices for connectivity design to meet
IoT requirements and ensure ubiquitous mobile coverage in a 5G
environment.
- International business consultancy
Navigant will explore the preparation IT managers and their teams
need for enabling the deployment and use of IoT applications in
commercial facilities.
- Tech giant IBM will explain how
innovations in artificial intelligence (think “Watson”) are
creating unimagined opportunities and challenges in building
operations.
- Commercial real estate services company
JLL will address the impact these technological innovations have on
building energy efficiency, workplace productivity and tenant
satisfaction.
“There is a new competitive landscape and evolving business
models in the intelligent buildings marketplace, as the traditional
demarcation of technology offerings for facilities management have
blurred,” said Casey Talon, principal research analyst,
Navigant.
“Vendors who create partnerships and strategies to amplify
solution offering capabilities and direction will become market
leaders.”
CommScope’s “The Evolution of the Workplace” workshops will take
place in:
- Atlanta on August 2, 2017
- Houston on August 9, 2017
- Minneapolis on August 16, 2017
- Seattle on August 23, 2017
Use the links to register for free admission. Each event will
proceed from 9 a.m.–4:00 p.m. local time.
