Anticipated
Changes
We
anticipate that we will report the following significant change in the results of operations from the same period of the last
fiscal year:
Income
(Loss) from Operations
. Net loss for the first quarter of 2017 was $2.65 million as compared to a loss of $1.07 million
in the same period of last year, an increase of $1.58 million (or 148.57%). The increase in net loss was primarily due to an
increase in operating expenses in the first quarter of 2017, which is partially offset by an increase in gross profit in the
first quarter of 2017.
Operating Expenses
.
Operating expenses increased for the three months ended March 31, 2017 to $3,050,208, representing 104% of revenue, from $1,541,084,
representing 29% of revenue in the same period of 2016. This increase was primarily due to an increase in general and administrative
expenses, which was partially offset by a decrease in selling expenses. General and administrative expenses increased to $2,855,329
for the three months ended March 31, 2017, an increase of $2,175,385 as compared to the same period of 2016, which was mainly
due to an increase in amortization costs of intangible assets in the first quarter of 2017 as compared to the same period of last
year. The Company started the amortization of land lease rights in Hedetang Foods Industry (Yidu) Co., Shaanxi Guoweimei Kiwi
Deep Processing Company and Trading Market Mei County beginning in the fourth quarter of 2016.
