RESTON, Va., April 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Leidos, a global
science and technology company, was awarded a prime contract by the
Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) to provide
technology support to Combat Environment Instrumentation Systems
(CEIS). The multiple-award cost-plus fixed-fee
indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a 5-year
ordering period and a total contract value of approximately
$197 million for all awardees. Work
will be performed primarily in China
Lake, Calif. and Point Mugu, Calif. Leidos is one of six
contractors eligible to compete for task orders under the
contract.
CEIS include GPS-based time-space position information
instrumentation, electronic attack and active emitter pods, warning
and countermeasure systems, radio frequency and electro-optical
tracking systems, multi-spectral threat and target systems, and
unmanned airborne vehicle instrumentation used by the Department of
Defense and allied training, test and evaluation ranges. Under the
contract, Leidos will provide research, development, delivery,
sustainment, and upgrade of instrumentation for the CEIS. Leidos
will also provide both product and engineering services to support
various hardware and software systems.
