Hire Reflects Expansion of Company's Operations in Key
Territory

-- In a significant first step toward growing its presence in
a key territory, Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B), a
Canadian-domiciled next generation global content leader, has
appointed veteran distribution executive Susan Hummel to the newly-created position of
Executive Vice President and Managing Director of its Canadian
distribution operation, the Company announced today.
Ms. Hummel will be responsible for establishing the Company's
first distribution office in Toronto, which she will manage and lead. Her
appointment reflects the continued growth of Lionsgate's worldwide
content platform, driven by a 16,000-title film and television
library, one of the largest independent television businesses in
the world and a home entertainment division that distributed 6 of
this year's 9 Best Picture Oscar nominees.

executive with deep knowledge of the Canadian television landscape
who launched MGM and FremantleMedia's offices in the territory,"

Prior to joining Lionsgate, Ms. Hummel served as Senior Vice
President of Distribution and Sales for FremantleMedia
International where she headed its first distribution office in
Canada and managed key deals for
the company's titles, including America's Got Talent,
Match Game, Deutschland '83 and Family Feud,
which is co-produced by Lionsgate's subsidiary Debmar-Mercury.
Before that, Ms. Hummel worked at MGM for a number of years
where she also led its Canadian office and developed and executed
sales strategies for the Canadian market across all platforms,
including video-on-demand, electronic sell-through,
subscription-video-on-demand, pay and cable television, as well as
U.S. basic cable television. She also had stints at Comedy Central,
Nickelodeon and Twentieth Century Fox Studios.
