BT Appoints Brendan Barber, Edward Astle as Openreach Directors

LONDON--BT Group PLC (BT.A.LN) Wednesday said it has appointed
Brendan Barber and Edward Astle as independent non-executive
directors of Openreach, the telecommunications services company's
infrastructure division.
The company said the new directors will oversee strategy,
investment and service delivery at Openreach.
Mr. Barber was previously the general secretary of the Trades
Union Congress and is currently the chair of employment relations
service The Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service. Mr.
Astle is a former board member of power transmission network owner
National Grid PLC (NG.LN).
