Firefighters in New York were battling a fire Thursday morning
in the basement of a high-rise building the houses offices for CBS
Corp., a spokesman for the Fire Department of New York said.
The fire broke out some time before 6:30 a.m. in the basement of
51 West 52nd Street, the FDNY said.
No one was injured in the blaze and everyone who was in the
37-story building has been evacuated, the FDNY said.
Firetrucks lined Sixth Avenue near 52nd Street, causing traffic
delays during the morning rush hour.
